COVID-19

Due to current Scottish government restrictions, hospitality establishments are operating under level 1 restrictions.

Restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars can open indoors until 23:00 with 2 hour pre-booked slots, and outdoors within local licensing conditions for the consumption of food and alcoholic drinks.

The maximum number of people you can meet indoors in a restaurant, café, pub or bar is 8 which can be from up to 3 separate households.

The maximum number of people you can meet outdoors in a restaurant, café, pub or bar is 8 which can be from up to 8 separate households.

Children under the age of 12 do not count towards the total number of people who can meet, but do count towards the maximum number of  households permitted to meet. For example an indoor children’s party with 10 children from more than 3 separate households would not be allowable, but 10 children from 3 households could meet.

Table service and the wearing of face-coverings (unless exempt) when not seated by all customers is mandatory in all hospitality venues. When meeting people from more than one other household, you should think beforehand about what size of table you will need to keep physically distanced between members of your group.

You will be asked by the venue to provide your contact details (for each person) for Test and Protect purposes. This information is retained for 21 days with a view to sharing with Test and Protect Teams, if required.

You should stay at least 2 metres apart from people from other households at all times, unless the venue is operating 1 metre distancing due to additional measures being in place to avoid transmission. Physical distancing and good hand hygiene remain the most effective measures in reducing the transmission of COVID-19. Therefore, distancing requirements need to be maintained, where reasonably practicable, at all times, including when waiting to enter premises and when seated.

COVID – 19 means we have changed how we do some things to help stop the virus spread and look out for the health of our guests and our team.

We have already put in place enhanced cleaning, social distancing plus specific training and PPE. We promise we will do all we can to follow the latest and most relevant guidance and to keep you fully informed about what we are doing.

COVID-19 Procedures

  • Complimentary hand sanitizer will always be available when entering the restaurant and must be used by all customers. There are additional sanitising stations in the toilet corridor
  • All customers must log into the covid tracing app via the QR CODE or provide contact details to staff
  • All staff will have their temperature checked before each shift and if this is over 37 degrees they will be sent home. This will also be the case if they are showing any other possible Coronavirus symptoms. These details will be recorded in our temperature monitoring log
  • All tables will be a minimum of 1 metre apart
  • All front of house staff will wear face visors and masks covering their mouth and nose
  • All staff will be trained to wash their hands thoroughly a minimum of every 15 mins during their shift
  • We will always be using virucidal spray when cleaning and sanitising tables and hand contact surfaces.
  • We will only single use condiments and salt and pepper cruets are sanitised before eacj use
  • All of our menus will be sanitised between customers
  • Our toilet areas will be checked regularly and have surface sanitiser available for customer use
  • We operate a one person at a time policy for toilets
  • Our restaurant will be deep cleaned every morning before opening
